The plant is expected to be operational in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh by 2027 and will manufacture Foxconn's display driver chips, used in consumer electronics. The deal comes as Apple suppliers increasingly look towards India as a way to reduce their reliance on China, amid tensions between Beijing and Washington.
