Globalstar is expanding its satellite constellations for two-way communications, broadband and voice capabilities. Globalstar raised a significant amount of capital through the sale of equity in its SPE, providing the firm with upfront payments to allocate to develop its new satellite constellation. With the 3rd party investments, Globalstar may not need to raise additional capital through the debt and equity markets, providing a stronger investment case for potential shareholders.
