    President Donald Trump said the US would impose a 30% tariff on Mexico and the European Union, which would take effect on Aug. 1 if the trading partners cannot negotiate better terms. Since posting the two letters on social media on Saturday, Trump told reporters the EU is talking to the US on trade.
